Our Story
Cushing Music Ventures began with a simple but powerful vision:
To inspire children through the gift of music. Nathaniel (Bud) Cushing started this journey by teaching young musicians using the renowned Children’s Music Academy curriculum, laying a strong foundation in music education.
As his students completed the CMA program, Bud recognized their eagerness to continue growing. To meet their needs, he expanded his teaching to include private piano and voice lessons, ensuring students could further develop their skills and passion.
A pivotal moment came when Bud was asked to teach a summer class on music composition. That experience ignited a deeper passion for exploring new and creative ways to teach music. Inspired by this, Cushing Music Ventures grew beyond its original mission. Today, in addition to the Children’s Music Academy curriculum, we offer private, one-on-one instruction for a variety of instruments and voice training, helping students of all ages find their unique musical voice.
